Boy’s Singles Event

Jose Maria Pague from the Philippines defeated Leng Sarinreach 9-4. In addition to the problems he faced in trying to hold his own serves, where he only made 1 in the entire 9 game pro-set, he was also unable to capitalize on the few breakpoints on his opponents serves when given the opportunity.

Vince EJ Tugade from the Philippines defeated Tep Timothy 9-5. Andre Tristan Keh/Astun Tun from Singapore defeated Khleang Ponlok/ Chheang Vannasith 9-2.

Girl’s Doubles Event

Clare Cheng/Tammy Tan from Singapore defeated Hour Sreypov/Ho Sreynoch 9-4.

Mixed Doubles Event 

Daniel Choo/Tessa Wong from Singapore defeated Son Mony Reach/Sam Davith 3-9.

Girl’s Singles Event


Som Chhinda defeated Gennifer Lysandra Pagenta from the Philippines 9-8(2). Keeping the tournament going is Chhinda, who battled against her Philipino counterpart today to take the edge over her opponent by winning the tiebreaker when the score was evened at 8 all. Chhinda will appear in the quarterfinal round tomorrow against a Singaporean opponent.

Quarterfinal Match for Chhinda
Chandran Sukirthi from Malaysia dispatched of Chhinda in the quarterfinal round. Despite being one win away from medaling in her event, Chhinda could not put together a solid enough match to overcome Sukirthi, losing 9-4 to the young Malaysian.
